Hello everyone, today I'm thrilled to introduce you to a new segment on the blog: "English Books." What's it all about? Well, since my readings predominantly involve English literature, I've decided to acquaint you with foreign authors who truly deserve recognition and, why not, inspire you to pick up one of their books and dive into the language. Let's kick things off with the works of an extraordinary Canadian author: Giana Darling. She's an incredibly sweet person and very engaging with her readers. I still remember the excitement of seeing a drawing I had created for one of her stories on Instagram. She wasn't obligated to do so, but she took the time to appreciate it and even messaged me privately to express her compliments.
Her books fall into the Dark Biker Romance genre, with a recurring theme throughout the saga: Age Gap. If you have reservations about this genre, these might not be the books I'd recommend, although I must admit, I had my own reservations until I discovered this author. Specifically, the second book with an age difference of almost 20 years won me over. Let me share a bit about these stories.
In the first book, we meet Queenie, a
27-year-old literature teacher stuck in a marriage that doesn't fulfill her. One evening, she encounters King, a biker from the city's motorcycle club, and from that moment, she realizes she needs to change her life, live by her own rules, tastes, and passions. What she didn't expect was that the guy she had a crush on turned out to be one of her students. This leads to other stories set in the motorcycle club, with the second book featuring King's father and Lou, a young girl determined to take control of her life without prejudices.
My favorite remains the book dedicated to the club's tattoo artist, Nova, and his muse, the fantastic Lila. What else can I say? I loved this saga, "The Fallen Men MC," for many reasons. The heroines are determined women wanting to live life on their terms, defying social conventions. The men are real men, passionate, sweet, outlaws who make you experience adventure with the thrill we all seek. The most important thing is family; the club and these people are like a family always looking out for each other.

Ciao a tutti, oggi sono entusiasta di presentarvi la nuova rubrica del blog: "English Books". Ma di che si tratta? Semplicemente, dato che le mie letture sono principalmente in lingua inglese, ho pensato di farvi scoprire autori stranieri che meritano davvero di essere conosciuti e, perché no, di ispirarvi a prendere uno dei loro libri e cimentarvi nella lingua.
Cominciamo con i libri di un'autrice canadese straordinaria: Giana Darling. Una persona dolcissima e molto disponibile con i suoi lettori. Ricordo ancora con emozione quando ha apprezzato un disegno che avevo fatto per una sua storia su Instagram. Non era obbligata a farlo, ma ha preso il tempo per farlo e addirittura mi ha scritto in privato per farmi i complimenti.
I suoi libri rientrano nel genere Dark Biker Romance, con un elemento ricorrente in tutta la saga: l'Age Gap. Se avete delle perplessità su questo genere di libri, potrebbero non essere proprio quelli che vi consiglierei, anche se devo essere sincera. Anch'io avevo delle riserve su questo tema fino a quando non ho conosciuto questa autrice. In particolare, il secondo libro con una differenza di età di quasi 20 anni mi ha conquistata. Vi racconto un po' di queste storie.
Nel primo libro, conosciamo Queenie, una giovane insegnante di letteratura di 27 anni bloccata in un matrimonio che non la soddisfa. Una sera, incontra King, un biker del club motociclistico della città, e da quel momento capisce che deve cambiare la sua vita, vivere secondo le sue regole, i suoi gusti e le sue passioni. Tutto ciò che non si aspettava era che il ragazzo per cui aveva una cotta fosse uno dei suoi studenti. Da qui iniziano altre storie ambientate nel club motociclistico, con il secondo libro che ha come protagonisti il padre di King e Lou, una giovane ragazza desiderosa di prendere in mano la sua vita senza pregiudizi.
Il mio preferito resta il libro dedicato al tatuatore del club, Nova, e alla sua musa, la straordinaria Lila.
Cosa dire? Ho amato questa saga, "Fallen Men MC", per molte ragioni. Le protagoniste sono donne determinate a vivere secondo le proprie regole, sfidando le convenzioni sociali. Gli uomini sono veri uomini, appassionati, dolci, fuorilegge che fanno vivere l'avventura con il brivido che tutti cerchiamo.
La cosa più importante è la famiglia, il club e queste persone sono come una famiglia che si protegge reciprocamente.
Spero che la mia descrizione vi abbia incuriosito. Ci sarebbe molto altro da dire su questa saga, ma temo di rivelare troppo, quindi mi fermo qui. Vi lascio i link per acquistare i libri su Amazon e i social dell'autrice.
