What would you think of a little girl who manages to outwit one of the most powerful demons of hell? It sounds crazy, right? But that's exactly what happens between Azazel and Zoe, the protagonists of the book "To Hell and Back Happily" by Nadine Mutas.

This story, at times humorous and at other times deep and reflective, takes us into the private life of hell. Zoe, our protagonist, at the age of thirteen, decides to defy destiny. Through a ritual, she manages to summon the great, powerful, and terrifyingly handsome demon Azazel, trapping him in a binding pact that states he must marry her when she turns twenty-five. It sounds absurd, but Zoe, even back then a sharp and intelligent girl, almost perfectly traps our demon. However, what she didn't foresee are the consequences of such a pact. Now, she is no longer a child, and the stakes are much higher.

I won't go into detail because I really want you to read this book. It's fun, lighthearted (I literally laughed from beginning to end), but also deep, sincere, and raw. Nadine Mutas manages to create a world where, surprisingly, you can even feel at home in hell, by reimagining the story of Lucifer and hell itself.

Among the characters I loved the most, besides the protagonists, are Mephisto, the infernal cat with his straightforwardness and naturalness, Taylor, Zoe's best friend who embodies the values of a healthy and genuine friendship, and Mammon, Azazel's nephew, a mischievous demon who enjoys causing trouble.

I'm reading the second volume now and can't wait for the third to come out. I'm eager to see how the story evolves and what other surprises it holds for us. In this first book, Nadine mainly shows what happens within this new reality, what "normality" means for them, how hell's society functions, and how to navigate within it. I greatly appreciated the development of the story between Azazel and Zoe and their growth journey. It was wonderful to see them help each other become better individuals.

What more can I say? If you're looking for a spicy book with demons that will make you laugh, I highly recommend it. To the next portal, Nadine: I'd sell all the souls I have just to find out how the story continues! Lol.

Cosa ne pensate di una bambina che riesce a raggirare uno dei demoni più potenti dell’inferno? Sembra una follia, ma è proprio ciò che accade tra Azazel e Zoe, i protagonisti del libro "All’inferno felici e contenti" di Nadine Mutas.

Questa storia, a tratti umoristica e a tratti profonda e riflessiva, ci porta nella vita privata dell’inferno. Zoe, la protagonista, a tredici anni decide di sfidare il destino. Con un rito evocatorio, riesce a chiamare il grande, potente e affascinante demone Azazel, intrappolandolo in un patto vincolante che lo obbliga a prenderla in sposa al compimento dei suoi venticinque anni. Sembra un’assurdità, ma Zoe, già allora sveglia e intelligente, riesce quasi perfettamente a incastrare Azazel. Ciò che non aveva previsto, però, sono le conseguenze di questo patto. Ora che non è più una bambina, la posta in gioco è altissima.

Non entro nei dettagli perché voglio davvero che leggiate questo libro. È divertente, leggero (ho riso dall’inizio alla fine), ma anche profondo, sincero e crudo. Nadine Mutas riesce a creare un mondo in cui, sorprendentemente, anche all’inferno ci si può sentire a casa, rivisitando la storia di Lucifero e dell’inferno stesso.

Tra i personaggi che ho amato di più, oltre ai protagonisti, ci sono Mephisto, il gatto infernale con la sua schiettezza e naturalezza, Taylor, la migliore amica di Zoe che incarna i valori di un’amicizia sana e genuina, e Mammon, il nipote di Azazel, un demone scapestrato che si diverte a combinare guai.

Sto leggendo il secondo volume e non vedo l’ora che esca il terzo. Non vedo l’ora di vedere come si evolverà la storia e quali altre sorprese ci riserverà. In questo primo volume, Nadine si concentra principalmente su cosa succede all’interno di questa nuova realtà, su cosa significa "normalità" per loro, su come funziona la società infernale e su come ci si muove al suo interno. Ho apprezzato molto l’evoluzione della storia tra Azazel e Zoe e il loro percorso di crescita. È stato meraviglioso vederli aiutarsi a vicenda per diventare persone migliori.

Che altro dire? Se cercate un libro spicy con demoni che vi faccia divertire, ve lo consiglio vivamente. Al prossimo portale, Nadine: venderei tutte le anime che ho pur di sapere come va avanti la storia! Lol.
